| Alex Gaudino |

Saturday, May 22nd, Ruby Skye, Mix Elements and Dolce along with Privilege Entertainment, SoulKrush, and SFniteout cordially invites you for an evening with Alex Gaudino at Ruby Skye.
Bio:
Alex Gaudino started his music biz career in 1993 in Flying Records and UMM.
In 1998 with the support of the famous Italian record company TIME,
Alex founded his own label, RISE Records and soon had a string of hit
records like The Tamperer and Black Legend (Alex is the only Italian A&R
with two # 1’s in the UK sales chart ) and Robbie Rivera’s “Bang”,
thanks to which he got a nomination as best European A&R at the European
Music Awards in London in 2000.
He produced two singles in 2003 with Crystal Waters and Ultra Natè.
“Destination Unknown” was played by all the key deejays, including Pete
Tong and Judge Jules and reached the top of the UK Buzz charts.
There is Alex’s touch behind Supacupa and Sambatucada (Gaudino da Costa)
and his remix of “Is it cos I'm cool” by Mousse T left its mark on the
summer of 2004. In 2005 Lil' Love “Little Love” was played by Pete Tong
in exclusive at Nikki Beach in Miami during WMC 2005. The record came
out on Positiva in UK and reached the top of the club charts; in 2006
Alex remixed Pete Tong & Chris Cox (Deep End), Mousse T (Horny) and
James Kakande (You You You). Ministry of Sound released his single
“Reaction” and his project Blue Lipstick “Head o ver Heels” came out on
on Hed Kandi.
But the real gear-change came with “Destination Calabria”, an artful
combination of Crystal Waters’ vocal with Rune’s Calabria. The track
dominated the singles sales charts in UK and all over Europe launching
Alex’s career as an international dj. His reputation as one of the most
fun dj’s on the circuit is spreading like wildfire. He knows how to play
to the crowd and is getting booked by the finest clubs on the planet.
And 2008 looks all set to turn up the heat even more as the new single
“Watch Out” bounces into the sales charts worldwide.
Alex is touring the coolest clubs around the world from the Soho Rooms

| KING BRITT |

Saturday, May 29th, King Britt makes the only Northern California stop on his Intricate Beauty tour at Vessel. Joining him on this special night are Rob G. (Om Records) and Mario Dubbz.

(FiveSix Media, Nervous Records)

(Om Records)
M A R I O D U B B Z
(Life SF)
King Britt:
We’ll cut to the chase. Intricate Beauty is the final “conventional” dance album King Britt will ever make. And how fitting this final chapter also marks King’s first ever release on seminal house music label Nervous Records (in partnership with FiveSixMedia). This is the seal of quality. Don’t worry, though, King Britt’s not going anywhere as an artist. He’ll be concentrating on more experimental based music and searching for new avenues to help push the live electronic improvisational end of performance. But for now, you have a real treat to behold with the Intricate Beauty. Eleven tracks of soulful rhythms constructed and mixed together like a grand jigsaw puzzle. Quintessential King.
Intricate Beauty pulls together the different sounds that have helped shape King’s dance DJ mind over the years. This is the story of what he loves to spin and how it all relates. In a sense, this is all the greatness of King Britt wrapped up under one disc. Like a physical incarnation of the intricate mind, the process of how this album was constructed is quite advanced. King based the album on tiny microsounds he procured from various random recordings and CDs. He then took all these tiny pieces and dumped them into Ableton Live where he sewed the puzzle pieces together. Once there were approximately 50 workable combinations of tracks he then constructed the songs musically. “In a few months I intend to release all the bits and pieces from Intricate Beauty as a “Live Pack.” These will be sounds that people can use for inspiration and production,” King says.
Beyond the album, this is a period of great change for King Britt. Not only is he working in a new studio but he’s also cleansed spiritually; something that has also enabled him to enter into a new creative space with his newest venture Saturn Never Sleeps with multimedia artist Rucyl (www.saturnneversleeps.com/about) “When you find your path and stick with it, you’re bound to hit a pentacle period of productivity. I feel that in the next three years you’ll really see and hear many sides of me musically. Mentally, physically and spiritually I have grown multitudes and have a very clear understanding of who I am and what I’m here for. Many of the lyrics on the album express some of these ideas.”
It’s been 20 years on the music scene for King Britt and his projects, collaborations and affiliations are always truly mind-blowing. From his time as Silkworm in the groundbreaking, Grammy winning Digable Planets, to starting Ovum Recordings with Josh Wink, producing platinum remixes for Macy Gray, Solange, Donna Lewis and hundreds of others, winning the highest grant in the country as the first dj/producer, The Pew Fellowship or starting his empire, FiveSixMedia, King Britt still tries to live in the NOW and not the then.

SWANK |

Vessel in association with Dolce, Trend Vip & Lara Brasil presents SWANK.
Featuring artist:
Pheeko Dubfunk: has been residing in San Francisco since 2002, he has been dishing out the best funky electro and tribal house tracks from Miami to SF as well as taking his music with him internationally. This gave the talented young DJ an opportunity to become well versed at playing music. It was the works of Aretha Franklin, Delegation, and Alexander O'Neal that filled the ears a budding DJ with funk, reggae and R&B. At his first US home in West Palm Beach and Miami, Pheeko was further exposed to house music and became a resident DJ at Club Bliss. He also graced the decks at Florida's hottest destination in South Beach Miami. After moving to San Francisco, Pheeko further had the chance to showcase his trademark silky smooth, dub filled funky house. He quickly acquired coveted residencies at clubs like Ruby Skye, Vessel, Fluid, 1015, Dna Lounge and Harlot as well as respected promoters such as Release (Martel & Nabiel), Mixed Elements, Spundae and Remedy. Pheeko has shared the stage with such global luminaries as Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, David Guetta, Dubfire, Roger Sanchez, Axwell, Satoshi Tomie, Nic Fanculi, Mark Farina, Bob Sinclar, Miguel Migs, Dimitri From Paris, Kaskade, Mr V, Plastik Funk, Tedd Patterson and more... The increasing recognition and acclaim of Pheeko’s talent by the industry and house lovers alike, lead to the success of his track “Closer to Me” with Hideo Kobayashi and “Sahara”, which had the honor of gracing the late night mixed cd of the well-renowned group Groove Junkies. “Closer to Me” made it to the top 10 download on beatport in 2006 and was chosen as one of the top secret weapons at the Winter Music Conference in Miami by Swank Recordings. After his return from his third year at the Winter Music Conference in 2009, Pheeko launched his label Swank Records with great esteem and acceptance from the SF house community. Pheeko released his first Winter EP through this label, and the full album is coming out through Swank Records with great anticipation. Pheeko is currently in search of talented local artists from SF to join the label as well as international producers. Pheeko looks ahead to great partnerships and talents in determination to create the freshest house tracks not just for the people in the industry, but to those who fuel it.
Gordon Waze cultivated his Djing style in one of the most respected and admired house music havens in the world — San Francisco, California. Since beginning his Dj career in 2000, Waze (also operating under the moniker Dj “Helicopter” Gordon & Sunwoo) has become one of the most sought-after Djs in the large San Francisco Dj community. His universal popularity arises from his expertise in crossing many genres of electronic dance music (including deep, electro, minimal, tribal, tech, funk, and breaks) with his seamless live remixes of loops, effects and a cappellas over a creative selection of house music tracks. Playing alongside house music legends such as Deep Dish, Lee Burridge, Axwell, Oscar G, Danny Howells, Laidback Luke, Kaskade, Cedric Gervais, and Lil Lous Vega has inspired Gordon’s passion for the art of Djing and catapulted his skills towards even greater levels of excellence.
Recently Gordon has been in the studio, collaborating on productions with Sultan feat. Dirty Vegas, on Harem Records., and has released past remix projects for Oscar G (Murk/Funky Green Dogs) and Danny “Buddah” Morales. His latest release is out now on Nervous Records — Oscar G’s “Angel” (Gordon Waze Dub).
